Default 96-00 civic 2/4 door lip *its not fitting...

i have a 97civic ex but i did a 99 back bumper conversion and so i went and bought a lip which it said 99-00 2/4door but when i received it. it says 96-00civic type r lip 4door rear lip.

I tryed fitting it on and each side meets half way. It wont wrap around at all and im wondering why. I also got this lip from a ebay member which i have just sent a message to about the problem. I dunno if they will refund me or send me a new one.. but i thought 2/4 doors were the same?

they probably sent the wrong one all together. 96-00 rear lips all fit on the same.

96-98 and 99-00 had different rear bumpers. the bottom end curves more in the 99-00.

thats why i did a 99-00civic rear bumper because it flares and im trying to go for a si look. and when i ordered it it says 96-00civic 2/4 doors. didnt say to let them know oif i had a 2 or 4 door because they made it seem like they all fit the same.

could this possible be a 92-95 civic coupe rear lip? Can someone that has a 92-95 coupe measure your bumper from the bottom corner to where it curves int he back. if its somewhere around 15" then i believe thats what this lip fits.

is your bumper oem? seems like the lip is the wrong one, but if your bumper isn't oem the fitment isnt going to be too good. I had a oem bumper before off my 99 ex and put the ctr style rear lip on...fit like a charm...got into a accident and replaced the rear bumper with a aftermarket one...i have a slight fitment problem where the exhuast meets. Also my cousin bought a aftermarket rear bumper for his 2000 civic ex, it was the correct rear lip and bumper and we couldn't get the lip to wrap around the bumper...
