Has any one put juice on a D16y7? It has the Catylitic converter on the exhuast manifold right by the motor. I was wondering if this is bad or restrictive for Nitrous use. PLus/Negitives Holla back someone Setup tips welcome!!

Also I could use a recomendation for someone in San Diego, California to tune my ride for a reasonable price.

Thanx, Budget Racer

the only thing about the cat that makes it restrictive is the fact that it's oem
placement doesn't matter.

you havent specified anything about the type of kit you want so you should look into that a little bit before you hurt your poor civic.

It is not a good idea to run nitrous with a catalytic converter.. It's eventually just gonna stop up and be fucked.. Gut it if u can and get away with it (no emissions)

My system is very simple. Dry system, SAFC II, Walbro 255 fuel pump, B&M regulator & fuel pressure guage, & 1 heat range colder spark plugs.

Regarding CAT: I dont think they make a legal high flow cat for this model because it is a one piece unit off the exhaust manifold. I could just put an EX header there and go Catless though. I would rather do that so I could reuse CAT when necessary but its very loud.

The original reason I asked the question was because I burned one spark plug electrode when juicing (think I might have detonated a bit) but I didnt have the bigger fuel pump & regulator. I hope those items help the problem. Not sure if it was lack of fuel or poor flow cat. Thanx for all responses. :}
