Fair Price for Head?
not the kinda you get down on the corner....lol
I'm looking to buy an EX head from this guy ive been talkin to. Does $120 sounds good/fair for a used EX head? Im really not sure about pricing as far as parts go, so i dont know if he is low-ballin or tryin to jack me. Sounds decent to me, but thought I'd check here first.

If you go to buy this head, just double check that it comes with what he is charging you for.
120 for an entire head is a good deal, 120 on a bare head, isn't so good...
Some things to ask if it comes with:
Valvetrain, cam gear, VTEC solenoid, Cam position sensor, and anything else you will need to complete the install.

I just picked up a full head for 160... more or less everything mechanical, no vtec solenoid, but had the cam pos. sensor.
The price you pay depends on what you need and how bad you need it.

Those gears have been known to slip... so use it with caution. Not sure how much you would actually gain from using it since you can't control intake independent from the exhaust... the overlap, or lack thereof is what will gain you major power with the turbo. I'd say stick with the stock cam gear.... either get it cleaned up or buy a new one for less than 30 bucks from majestic honda.

Although ive heard of them slipping, i ran them on my B18a with no problems, my friends 170whp N/A b16 ran them no problems, and my other friends 11 second GSR-T ( in ef) ran them no problems, but to be safe id get something with more bolts.

yeah, Ive heard of them slipping also. But more often than not, on the cam gears with 3-bolts and not 5.
But we'll see. I'll ask my teacher at school - hes a honda/acura, toyota/lexus master
