like chris said try to avoid wheel hop...which is hard but you should be ok with stock axles...i use stock axles when i run the street stock class and only broke one so far

yea take the above advice. preload and dont "dump" the clutch. i run autozone axles with bfg radials and havent had any problems

preload is the key. i have a set of new napa axles in my car and i run bfgs and the only time i have broke them is when i have accidently dumped the clutch.

I have never preloaded, and only broke one due to wheel hop from an extensive burnout.
I would go for the damn neer rev limiter launch on a damn near stock b16

How do y'all preload? I have heard different ways and wondering what works best for y'all. We broke 2 gator axle on bf radials. No wheel hop, 4000 rpm launch.

what your supposed to do is...

do burnout
pull up to the line
prestage
pull up ebrake handle slighty
slip clutch slighty to pull into the second beam
get on the 2step while still slighty slipping clutch
goes green
let the clutch out the rest of the way while getting off ebrake

you want the clutch to do the work

I never heard anything real good about gators,

did u ever try OEM axles? they seem to be alot better then REmans

from what i understand about preloading get staged then pull the ebrake up build some boost (let the clutch out so it squats) then light goes and let off and go!@

I do not have a twin disk so this would trash a clutch in a few passes If not make it slip
