96 accord vtec 2.2 problem
I just got a 96 accord vtech 2.2 with a dtc of 1361 and a 1508. I the resistance check on the tdc sensor reveals a 2.6 and should be in the range of .5 to 1.0. Is this enough out to cause a bad surgeing problem ?? I just go it at a local auction and am just starting to work on it. If i clear the codes it will pick them right back up. The problem here is I want to make sure that these codes aren't connected since the tdc and iac both showing up together.
Thanks for any input that you might have.

1361 is tdc sensor and 1508 is the iac valve. Since my first post i took out the ecu and it has definately been under water. I have got another one coming tomorrow and will try it first and then report back. You originally asked my about the ohms readings that i posted and that is the correct test for the ecu according to alldata. Thanks for your reply,

the surging is probably your iac. if you take off your intake. stick you finger in the throttle body while the motor is running. there are two holes cover one or the other. if it fixes you surging then pull off you throttle body and clean it. and pull off you iac and clean it.
is you tdc sensor in the dizzy or on the crank?
if its in the dizzy I thought all dizzy sensors should measure between 350-700ohms from the ecu pins

kulverton, the tdc is on the crank not in the dizzy. I did get they ecu this morning and it took care of the 1508 now just the 1361 to deal with. if i clear the codes and then crank and keep the rpm's at or above 3000 everything is fine but when i let the rpm's fall below 2800 then i get the 1361 coming back and then the surgin starts. it's like fail safe up and down and up and down at anything above an idle.

I finally got the tdc and ckp sensors in they are on one harness so they both are with it. It took cars of all of my problems now and of course the replacement of the ecu as well from flood damage.
I just want to thank all who replied for their help. This forum is great !!!
