Default B16 Swap question (its a quick one)

Ok guys and gals Im sure you are sick and tierd of these threads and I apologize for another one. Here is my question! I picked up a wrecked 00 SI and Im going to be pulling the motor and putting it in my car which is a 97 EK hatch. My question is can I just use the wiring harness on the motor B16? I believe I've read some where that you can't because of the difference is OBD2a and OBD2b but I figured I would ask anyways. Thanks in advance for any help...If I can't I just plan on buying a EX Harness and going about it that away...

Thanks in advance guys and gals...

You can't use the 00 si harness because it's obd2b your dash harness won't plug into it. You need a obd2a ecu and harness. 96-98 is obd2a and 99 and up is obd2b
