when i would hold down the clutch it doesn't make a sound but once i let go and the car is running it maked a ticking sound...the faster i go the louder it gets...i was told that it could be the input shaft bearing but i wanted to see if anyone else had an idea...oh yeah it's for a b16 tranny...thanks

sounds like the ISB. You can get raped and have a shop do it, or do it yourself. I did mine myself, and saved ALOT of money. There is a great write up on this site about how to do it also.

That's the tranny monkeys trying to get out.

Let em out before they expletive up your tranny more.

If you are somewhat mechanically inclined then you can download the helms service manual from any number websites (hey maybe even this one) and take the tranny down, open it up, and check all the bearings yourself.

Otherwise......
