Default Just double checking....(searched just want to make sure)

Well long story short, I will be buying a 95 civic hatch for 200$ (blown motor) this will be my DD/winterbeater, since it has a blown motor (d15b8) i figure why not swap in an Ls and have some fun.
There are plenty of b18a's in my local yards not many b's.
All i need from the donor integra are:

Engine
mounts
ecu
Linkage
(anything im missing please add)

Now my question is about the transmission, do i have to swap to the b18 trans or can i keep the d series transmission?

Now a hypothetical question: it would be best if i were to get everything from what year/model integra?
Thanks in advance.

You need the axels the wiring harness and the trans.

I'm not even that sure that the above is all you need.

The easiest to swap in is 94-96 integra although 96-01 will work too but then you go obd1 - obd2. Also I'm pretty sure that the older models will work as well but you may run into axel or engine mount problems...

I'm no swap expert so def. search around and wait for someone else to chime in.

I believe it is a cx, a guy i work with mentioned it to me a few days ago and i looked into it, i figure why not even if i spend a few hundred getting it going its going to save me on gas later on ( my blazer gets 15 Mpg highway) i drive atleast 40 miles a day..

Why the ?

EDIT

I forgot to mention the integras in the local yards are all 90-93, is this swap still doable? I remember reading something about a cable and hydro tranny difference...

ask a mod to move this to the hybrid section you'll get more clear answers...

Also if you search.. you WILL find ALL the answers you're looking for.
