flitz polish is impressive stuff.
appearance-related topic
For the last year or so, I've noticed that my headlamp housings were getting dull and hazy looking. Not really a big deal, but since the rest of the car looks pretty good, the old-looking headlamps bugged me.
Flitz polish originally came to my attention when I was looking for something that would safely take the tarnish off the nickle hardware of my Gibson guitars. My guitar tech recommended the stuff to me, and it worked great. Not only did it take the tarnish off, but it seems to protect it from getting tarnished as easily.
I noticed on the tube that it said it would safely clean plexiglas, so I figured what the hell and tried it on my headlamps. Sure enough, it got rid of that nasty haze. The headlamps don't exactly look new again (too pitted from thousands of highway miles for that), but they don't look obviously old anymore.
It also works on heat discoloration on stainless steel. I shined up my bling-bling ricer Tanabe muffler with the stuff, although a header would be a PITA.
Anyway, if you're looking for something that will take the haze off your headlamps and the blue off your header, Flitz polish =

Nope. Didn't think to take any.
And I'm not sure you'd really see the difference in pics anyway. I know on my guitars, the hardware looks shiny in pics even when it's pretty tarnished in person.
