Default Chipping p28 quick question

Hey, just got a p28 for my d16z6 (currently running p06) the guy gave it to me and said it needs a chip...sure enough i opened it up, just an open socket. so what i need to know is.

where can i get a chip that can be repgrammed. I have a friend that does this so all i need is one that he can work with. Do i need to get a specific one? or can i get one of those EBAY cheap mugen or skunk chips and have them reflashed? (i would ask him, but he is unavailble at the moment)

ive looked all through the archives and i know about all this do it right, get it tuned on a dyno blah blah. But for now i just want to run a basemap. (what my friend does.)

sorry if this is a noob question...but i just cant find anything other than pre programmed....and no im not getting hondata or chrome until i go turbo...which is not for a long time.

i dont know anything about this stuff

All you need to do is cut the soldered in wire/capacitor that causes it to read the chip then the ecu will revert to its own base map

The thing circled in red is what you need to cut.

Don't bother getting a Skunk/Mugen chip, they don't to jack **** performance wise.
