WTF is a speedometer head?

And why does it have to be JDM?

it is the part that receives the speed signal from the speed sensor and it has to be jdm because my guage cluster is jdm

From what I know the VSS goes:

Speed Sensor in trans ---> ECU ---> Gauge cluster.

And being a JDM or USDM cluster makes no difference. If the issue is IN your cluster, you will save time and money by simply buying a new one.

In that case, I have heard you can actually remove the speedo section of a USDM cluster, and replace it on your JDM cluster. The color will be different, but you will have accurate MPH.
