Default Turbo 5.0 Mustang sneak peak

I have started to change my mustang from twin to single turbo

Im going to use an exhaust clamp at the bottom portion. it should be here monday.

The upper portion on the merge... i had it real pretty. then leeann comes out takes one look at it and is like... is that going to hit the radiator? sure as **** it did and i have to redo it now its been fluxor'd.

The paint was still kinda wet cause i found some bare spots while i was putting them back on for the picture

I still need to buy a 3" vbang flange for the exhaust, and some injectors and a maf. probably get it running with the fmu and then buy the injectors and maf next paycheck.

I have all the intercooler piping and the fmic ready to go. i have to do some chopping hopefully no welding on the charge pipes.

ssauto hks knockoff is set at 8psi.

almost finished. should've started a long time ago but the stang has sat for about 2 months.

Carefull with that. I had a similiar setup at one time and it found that the heat was softening up the tire, causing it to wear faster.

yea, i would try and route it just behind the front tire, ive heard some stories about tires getting nice and gushy from N/A exhaust dumping on them, expecially front tire man, not the best idea. 2 for DIY tho

my twin setup had the exhausts exiting on both sides out the fenders in front of the tires and i really didnt notice anything. so we'll see how she goes. its not like its going to be pushing 25psi and 1000whp

stock ECM... the timing is backed down to 8 degrees base which is about 22-24 at WOT. i used a FMU last time. but am going to upgrade injectors and MAF to control them for this build.

What turbo you using?
Whats you fuel setup consist of? i see a fmu in there.

What gear you using?</TD></TR></TABLE>

turbo is T70
fmu right now, later maf and injectors
tranny is AODE with valve body/shiftkit and big cooler
rear end gears are 3.55 (cobra rear end, 4 wheel disks etc...)

reading your sig, to hit 10s in anything but a gutted out drag car with full slicks you're going to need at least aftermarket heads.

Na. I have been doing plenty of reading and searching. I will be using MP T70. Also will have a Meagsquirt to tune the hell out of the car. Between turbomustangs and corral i have seen plenty of stock 302s and also explorer motors making upwards and over 500whp. My goal right now is to hit a 10.99 with a all stock motor. Trans will be a 4r70w with a manual valve body. Prolly a 3200 stall. Also my runs might be done on some good ole E85.

The main reason i had gotten the Megasquirt to begin with was so i didnt have to deal with the stupid MAF. Then upon reading it is a great system.

Also my runs will more then likely be done on some m/t drag radials. If i cant get down there with those (will be my street tires) I will have a nice set of quick time pros waiting.

Of course i will be upgrading parts later down the line. But first goal is to hit 10's on an all stock motor. The things i have done to the motor to stop it from being fully stock is an E303 cam and some major exhaust port matching. Also port match my iintake opening to 75mm to go with my egr delete and 75mm TB. Other then that all stock. I Have 2 sets of e7 in my garage. I think im going to port the **** out of one to see how far i can go then port the other ones pretty close to that. In the new RacePages NMRA magazine they ported an intake full out. Pretty nasty have far you can go.

Also looks like we had the same mind set in painthing things on the motor haha. Also shows my porting of the intake.

You have some girly arms.

Looks good, although those welds look a little nasty. As long as it hold together is all that counts.

yea totally cause its just the engine speeding down the track itself.
all v8 twin turbos should have 2000hp or more, all v8 single turbos should have 1500hp or more. just a rule of thumb
