Default Would like to get an old set of springs tested to find their actual rate

Okay, bear with me here this is kind of a long story for a short question:

A couple years ago, I purchased a set of NEX racing coilovers for $500 used. This was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made when purchasing parts for my EG. These things were horrible-cheap-chinese-made-**** straight out of 1998, rusted shafts, leaky seals, (no customer support from the company at all of course) but I still want to make use of at least the springs that came with the coilover kit so that the 5 bills I dropped isn't a complete waste. they are your run of the mill generic 2.5" springs, and supposedly (according to the stunna I bought them from) the spring rates are 10K and 14K

Here's what I'm thinking: I should have just bought koni yellows/GC Kit right off the bat, but unfortunately I don't have a time machine so I'm f*cked.
Life gave me lemons, I wanna make some lemonade. Me thinks I can at least take the springs off this wasted POS coilover kit, get some sleeves, some custom valved, shortened koni yellows and go to town.

But first I logically need to find out the actual specs of the springs and more importantly find out if these china springs are actually worth my time.

Is there anywhere you would suggest I send the springs for testing? FYI, I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada but I am definitely willing to send the springs to the states to be tested as long as it doesn't cost me a hell of a lot.

thanks in advance, any help at all is GREATLY appreciated.

Call around to the race shops in your area.

theyre not worth your time.

and you know custom shortened koni's arent cheap. kind of illogical to suggest if "youre on a budget"..

Honestly, no. I didn't know they weren't cheap. after some searching, i guess it makes a ton more sense for me to just modify my upper mounts (if needed.)

Thanks for the reply, Tyson. your input is super-appreciated.
