Just installed polished rota, why is there sound?
I just installed 15x6 Full Polished Rota Slipstream w/ 195-50-15 with stock lugs. I have ordered Motegi lugs which is on the way. I realized above 20 mph, there is sound coming out from the front and when I touched the rims, they are really hot. I wonder do I need hub centric ring for them. If so what size are they for 1995 integra gsr db8?
A few things come to mind here.
1) Are you using the right kind of lugs? Consult the FAQ in this forum if you don't know what I am referring to.
2) Where the tires properly balanced and mounted?
3) What is the history of these rims and tires? Are they new, are they used, have you used them before, did you just polish them and put them back on?
4) Your rims will get hot, they are bolted directly to the brake rotors which get very hot.
Cheers.

I am currently using stock one, but I have new one, Motgei 12mm x 1.5, coming this Monday. I bought these rims off my friend that I kicking with everyday and I polished and re-balanced them myself. All wheels are torque cross 80 ft-lbs. No the rims are not contacting the rotor due the fact by using the machine spinning them at high speed. But there's sound coming out of them after 20mph unknowning why that's happening.. It is happening to my friends new drag dr20. He can't figure it out also why the sound occurs, but I don't know do his get hot after driving it, but mines do. Please let me know what I need to resolved this problem. thanks

Please elaborate, what are your rims mounted to?

I have tire 195/50/15. I checked the runout on them after balanced. I jacked up one side of the wheel and put a machine that meant to check for defective wheels such as defective, runout, and un-balanced wheel. I start the machine and looked for contact to the caliper and rotor, but nothing is contacting the rims at all. But at high speed there's sound coming out of my wheels. don't know why, but that is the best I can explain. I am sure it's not the suspension because I jacked up the car on a hoist and look at the whole entire suspension everything alright. I am currently running on koni yellow w/ skunk works. My front are about 3" dropped while my back is 2"-2.5". Please let me know what is your assumption or anyone have the same problems. thanks
What I meant with contact with your rotors was that the inside face of your rim indeed was mounting with the face or your rotor. Not the outer part that is responsible for friction with the pads but the inner part that your wheel studs come through? That's all. If someone got the wrong bore size of rim (too small) it is conceivable that there would be no contact and a gap would exist.
As for the sound, perhaps you could describe it? High frequency, low frequency, relative to the speed, constant, intermittent....etc
Is your car properly aligned? With such a significat drop, is it possible that the wheel is rubbing against a piece of the fender cowl? Perhaps a piece of the cowl has come lose and is rubbing on the wheel? Stick, twig, or other debris work it's way in there?

Yes the car is aligned beside camber. At high frequenctcy, constant. No fender rub, I raised the car up before to see what that will do, but still have the sound coming up and rims are still hot after driven.
