I have an automatic 97 Accord SE and lately whenever I put it in drive, it'll just rev when I hit the gas and there's like a 3-4 second delay until the car actually starts acceleratoring. Also, there's a short delay between shifting. Could it just be that I need new/more transmission fluid or could it be something else? Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

To start check your transmission fluid. If that's all good then you may have problems, though the 5th gen tranny is actually a pretty solid piece compared to the 6th and 7th gen.
