1990 Clutch Prob
I have a 1990 Accord with 229000 miles on it . The Clutch has 20000 miles on it . Last week wife was driving and the clutch pedal went to floor . She poped it back up and it was fine. 2 days later did the same thing but it stayed a dead pedal . So I looked under the dash and saw fluid had been leaking from slave cylinder , the reservoir was also empty and there was fluid under the slave cylinder. So I replace the Master cylinder and slave cylinder when I took slave cylinder off it came completley appart. Tried to bleed and it would not even bleed at all. Took it to a shop they pulled the tranny and they say it looked fine . They managed to get it bleed but soon as car revs up it (clutch pedal) drops to 3 inches of the floor and I lose abilty to disengage clutch. Any ideas ?????
No leaks in line . Pedal adjustment ???? I am new to Hondas and foriegn cars? We had to have the car today because my daughters homecoming dance so I picked it up and drove with out clutch (starting in gear) and mysteriously the clutch pedal floped back to the top and I got the engagement back athough when you push the clutch it feels spongey and engagement and disengagement is at the very bottom of clutch throw. The mechanic said rhe clutch thing that operates throw out bearin looked fine , and all he works on is Hondas.
