Default exhaust....again

hey guys, whether a NA car needs larger size exhaust pipe when i install a new performance header and a N1 style muffler. 96 accord : 2.25inch should go to 2.5inch?

since i want to maintain mid rpm torque and also gain power at high end. which way should i go? should i buy both 2.5 header and 2.5 muffler then replace all middle pipes with new 2.5 pipes? OR just get 2.25(OEM size) header and muffler and bolt on??

which do u guys recommend?

Well dude...of course you won't be able to "feel" power loss. The only way to tell for sure your losing/gaining any power is to dyno tune it. If you want more info I believe there's a thread on here (it was posted like 2-3 days ago) about the technicalities of exhaust; backpressure, header design, piping diameter+thickness. In short if you're going for mid to high go with a 2.5, but don't take my word for it... you should really read that thread, I found it enlightening. It's more complex than what it seems.

Ok...here's the thread. Yeeee.
