2004 Accord CD Player Help!
I have a friend with a 2004 Accord w/factory Honda single CD player. The CD is in, rotates, but the radio doesnt recognize its there and wont play. If I push the CD player button, the radio still plays. If I push eject, nothing happens. I reached in the slot with a clamp, got hold of the CD, but the player has it clamped like it is ready to play. The CD rotates freely, but wont come out. I dont want to force it out due to possible damage potential to player. Should I take radio out, open it and remove the CD, or is there a separate fuse or power supply to just the CD part of the radio. HELP! Im very mechanically enclined and electronically enclined, so it doesnt matter what I need to do, Im not scared to do what is recommended.

The safest way to get that out is to removed the player, take it apart, and remove the CD carefully without screwing up the laser.
It really isn't that hard but takes a pretty small phillips.

Thanks. That doesnt sound too hard. That was what I figured I would need to do anyway, just wanted to hear it from somebody else too. Thanks again. Ill try it and post what happens. Any idea why it would do this? Just wonder if there is a sensor bad inside the player. Doesnt seem like it even knows a CD is in it. Doesnt spin, radio doesnt even try to play it either. Hmmm.

I have seen quite a few radios just lock up on a CD because something went wrong and when the CD was finally removed and re-inserted all went fine. Could just be a fluke.
