Talking down the dealership from 16,999 to 12,000

I've had 9 other Hondas, and been on the site for a while, but this is my first K series, and I'm pretty excited about getting this car back in the shape it should be. This will replace my Mini Cooper S...glad to be back in a Honda.

YOU HAD A MINI-S damn those thigs are hot dropped with an exhast and rims. no offense but i think ur making a mistake plus they are superchrged..

Thats a different story than if its basically a lemon that yea go for the ep3

I got the EP last night...so it's already in the garage

The MCS




Although I loved my MCS, and it was fast as hell (intake/header/3" exhaust/ECU/16% pulley), it was in the shop 5 times in the first year for bs. Then the morning I was supposed to drive it on to a boat to ship it to Hawaii...the #4 spark plug popped out of the head and ripped out all the threads. That was the last straw...so I sold it. Not to mention the EP3 was 12k and the mini was 26k.

My plans are to throw on CTR bumpers/skirts/wing, Hondata and from there I'm not sure. 15's for sure, with some soft rubber, Gram lights, or perhaps RPF-01's again.

Yesterday was my first dive into the EP3 forums, so I'm learning every day about the tech side of them. I'll be around a lot from here on out...

One of the higher-ups in the local SCCA Solo II organization doesn't mind his Mini because the dealership fixes everything under warranty; and when the warranty is up, he'll get another one.

Doesn't make any sense to me, honestly... lol

But yeah, congrats on the EP, and good job on talking the dealer down to a reasonable price (they must've been smoking something rotten to ask for $17K). It's gonna be a fun car.

 

One of my replacements was the RR caliper...I took it in and they replaced the LR caliper...then had to wait a week to get the right parts for the RR. Granted I got to drive a Merc around when my mini was in the shop, so I was comped...but I was always worried about the cost of the car once the warranty ran out...

 

i like the plans you have for the ep..i think ep's look sexy with CTR Lip, sides, and the wing..and then dropped. with some decent rims..

 

Yeah...I want to keep as much 'Honda' on it as possible.
