I am wondering if anyone could tell me where this runs to. The reason why i am asking is that i think this part is leaking. or maybe something else is. i just found on the passenger side of my car that my back seat(the actual seat part) was wet and the trunk floor liner was wet. I took the whole back seat out and there was water sitting below the seat but there wasnt much water in the wheelwell at all. also there was some water on the very left side of the trunkbetween the wheelwell edge and the side frame of the trunk)

Does anyone else know what might me leaking?

Heres the pic of the tube i am wondering about. Does it run to the sunroof?

 

do u have a sunroof? if so thats the pipe that drains the water ...

alright, tomorrow ill pour some water where the water drains from the sunroof. im trying to figure out if this was a bottle water that leaked out or if its a leak of the car

is that tube one solid piece? or is it split up? Im about to go test it, are there any other spots i should look for if it isnt the sunroof tube thats leaking?

 

Check it to see if it is plugged up with gunk. At the end of the tube there is a little one way valve(to keep the bugs out??) this gets plugged up from leaves and such. I had a coffee cup full of crap come out of it. Now the back end is dry as a bone.
Also check the other side too.

 

just follow it...when u take ur headliner off u can see the tubes.

 

Definately a sunroof drain, and when they clogg or break it's DEFINATELY a MAJOR pain in the *** to deal with.

I had to deal with that on my GTI.

I feel for ya bro, hope you can get it fixed...
