i need help tig welding
i am a complete noob to tig, although i have been using a mig for years. i know pics would be great but ill try and get some up.
anyways i just bought a miller syncrowave200
im welding ss pipe for ic and stuff. im using 3/32 red tungsten with 1/16 rod.
also about 50 amps. my problem is that most of the time my welds look grey and dull. and there is a black crusty **** on the inside. if i weld 3/16 ss flatbar i can do really good beads with all the pretty colors. but when i switch to the pipes it gets all crappy.
any suggestions would be awesome
