Okay so I cannot drive easy....and, if I am going to rebuild some tranny to "last" I would like to add some stronger shifter forks.

Anyone know of any?

Stop trying to jam the trans into gear. If it doesn't go in smoothly you've got other problems you should be looking for.

Yup, been braking those shifter forks a few times. I broke 3 trannies like that and it usually becomes a spare parts trans if I break a diff fork on another trans.
Bisi Ezeroiah with his 10 sec allmotor D15 has been braking them too. We have traded forks the past few years. I seem to break the ones he doesnt, so I guess it works out ok in that way for both of us.
Oh well.. those shifter forks are very weak.

Right here.

I've replace a total of 11 shifter forks so far in S20 92-95 Civic trannys.

4 or 5 were mine.

My next project is to see if the 96-00 Civic shifter fork assembly will fit into the older S20 tranny. They have the stronger stamped steel style like the B series trannys.

BTW you really don't wanna know the cost to have a custom strong set made.
It equals about 20 shifter forks.

Notice the synchro and synchro spring in the last picture.

Well, I guess I will just have to learn how to rip open trannies then......
