Default Vtec wiring

whats up everyone, I got a 92 civic cx (d15b non Vtec) and i'm swapping in a D15b8 (Vtec). The engine came with a cut wirng harness, so I called around and asked about what I should do and was told that I would need to wire up Vtec through my stock motor wire harness. I've never done that before so could you guys give me some assistance, Thanks in advance.

take the plugs off the hacked up harness for the vtec solenoid and vtec pressure switch and run them to the passenger side shock tower harness. Connect the Ora/Wht to the VTEC Solenoid and the ORA/BLU to the VTEC Pressure Switch. The black one should be ground. Since you have a 92 the rest of the wiring to the ecu should be there.

yes, that's how I have mine setup w/ a non-vtec harness. You just need the actual plugs off a vtec harness
