anyone using COMP CAMS???
i got some COMP Cams in a trade. They are brand new. I am going to put them in my JDM B16XSi.
just wanted to know who is using them and would like some opinions about them and what kind of valvetrain u are running using with them.
Preferably B16, B18c1, B18c5 people running COMP Cams.
are they good, bad, what???

Ive tried the stage 3 on a 2L 11.5 motor and compared them to our stage 3. It made like 4whp in some parts in the mid but from 7k and on the peak number wasnt as good as the webs. From all the sets ive seen the wear was bad because of the amount of lift they put on the vtec lobes.

Yes its true. Ive cam doctored alot of sets. Rocket will even tell you. Anything over .310 lift at the cam will start to get you into retainer to guide seal problems , UNLESS your cylinder head is setup correctly. The guides will need to be machined down by your machinest for enough clearance. Good luck -- Alex

Well, that answers that question.
I'm running the Comp 59300 with Comp springs and retainers.

so is it gonna be safe for me to run these Cams? I will upgrade the valve springs. But I dont want to ruin my rockers or screw up anything else.
How come other cams dont screw up the rockers? whats the difference between these and Skunk2 ProSeries Stage 2?
