Anyway, this past Friday my friend calls me and tells me this kid wants to race me(I guess he heard my Integra is pretty quick).. so I tell him to set it up.

There's a back road, like 10 minutes off the beaten path that has ZERO traffic on it.
As a matter of fact, it's a fresh road. Just paved. I guess they are making a new subdivision or something...

anyway, the challenger is a 01 PY ITR. AEM intake, cam gears, DC JDM, GReddy exhaust, V-AFC and 75 shot ZEX system.

I meet the kid there, and he was cool. Wasn't a dick at all. He was like 18 yrs old.

Anyway, I ran him once, and I must have pulled like 4 car lengths on him. I came back around and asked him if he sprayed, and he was like "yea.. but how the ***** is that thing so fast?"

I was like "I don't know. It just is. Wanna go again?"
So the kid said ok, but he wants me to have a passenger in my car.
My friend got in the car, and he weighs about 260lbs.

We ran again, and this time it was a closer race.. but the kid STILL didn't pass me until I shifted into 5th. I guess this kid was spraying in 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

The look on his face was worth a million dollars. I love it.

Now I can't wait to install the Toda A's and go look for him again. LOL.

Before tuning(182/132 @ the wheels), I hit 9.0@80.8mph in the 1/8th mile.

Not sure what 1/4 mile is, but it's gotta be low low 14s/high13s.

 

that kids car had to have something wrong with it, i have a 50 shot on mine and i dyno'ed at 206.5 with 150.2 ft/lbs

 

must have been , i dynoed at 230 with major fuel issues timing issues, and untuned . im looking at like 250 ish now.
but yea man your good for at least mid 13's on slicks .
i get 13.7 all motor and im not pushing that much power all motor. . . . . im not tuned either though.

That kid must not have known what he was doing - mine dynoed at 230/192. There's no way you can keep up with the torque nitrous makes. If I still had my Nitrous, Mike - it would be on, but no more nos, no more fun.

what does you car weigh? If i remember correctly didnt you remove a decent amount of weight?

I weigh 230lbs., so the car is in the 2300 ballpark once I get out.


no bumper supports
no SRS system and both airbags
pulled all heat shields on exhaust tunnel and brakes
no rear wiper
no antenna motor
replaced OE rack with Civic CX rack(road race *****, get bent. the steering ratio sucks, but I am a drag ****.)
carbon hood
lightweight flywheel(6.75lbs.)
no cat(cat weighs a lot)
lightweight header(Toda)


thats it.

 

Hey Mike, what did you do to cover the big hole on the passenger side where you took the airbag out?

 

I pulled the cover off the passenger airbag, so it looks like one is still there.

 

Don't forget you junked the front strut bar too
