Hello, I just bought Tokiko Illuminas for my 2000 EK civic and was wondering how my RSR springs would work with these shocks/struts. Im not sure how much drop they have as I bought them used. I think they are 1.5" to 2" drop. Hopefully someone is familiar with this Japanese based company. The springs are blue if this helps. I was reading that you shouldn't drop a car too low with these struts cause they could be damaged. Whats your take?
or
Also should I use stock dust covers on these, and should I or not cut bump stops that came with tokikos because of the LOW drop? Thanx!!

You should be fine. Use the stock dust covers and trim the bumpstops in half.
These are regular springs, not coilover sleeves, right?

Thanx for fast response.Yes regular springs. Hmmm I didn't think I would have to cut the Tokiko bumpstops that came with it. But the springs are a low drop. These bumps are smaller than stock ones though. Are you sure? Thanx again
ANY shock should not be bottomed out low.
even if you have bumpstops adequate enough, the shock (from sudden change in speed) can damage the piston. definately crashing the piston inside the shock is going to be a bad thing, no matter what brand.
use the dust covers.
illuminas should come with new bumpstops, at least mine did. same thing as the stock crx ones, shaped like a barrel. and i always cut mine in half.

Are you familiar with RSR springs cuz im not sure how much drop it is. Once again they are blue if it helps. Why would they make springs so low that they would damage any shock. These RSR's are suposed to be good racing springs though as ive heard. I hope im good with just cutting my bumps. Thanx guyz for advise.
