just bought my first ek. had to replace the engine. got the same y7 . used the harness that came on the new one. is there a diffrent harness for ever car like ld and dx are they diffrent . thanks

 

I know auto and manual have a slightly different harness. LX and DX should be the same I believe.

 

also to add 98 car and the engine is a 96 could that be why obd2a and obd2b?

 

96-98 is obd2a, i think the differences are between auto and manual and vtec and non vtec harnesses

 

like i said the engine is a 96 but the harness does not have the power steering connecter and the charchal canister plug and i just droped it in and i got a check engine light. damn obd2 cars soo much emission bullshit
