New found respect for our cars
well I went to englishtown but didn't race but I must say I was VERY impressed with the ITR's that were running. They were one of the very few cars that were running in the 14's and high to mid 13's. Even the WRX's were all running in the 15's (dissappionting) they just couldn't launch, they keep on bogging. For all the street cars, hybrids, hatches, and others. The ITR's held it down even against some turbo cars, it was doing great with simple bolt ons. There was one there that was running mid 13's (I think with cams). This gave me a new found respect for these cars. Also there was a Turbo Jetta there that was street prepped but was running drag slicks. Man that car was fast, it ran a 11.4. that bad part it was its pit time was 11.9 so it broke out and lost. Papadakis lost to the cavalier and the HKS silvia was there running 7's (7.154) sick. All in all it was a great day at the track (drag strip). I know these cars are not made for dragging but you could have fooled me and the crowd. I may not try to sell her as fast as I thought.
To make everything even better on the way home I came across a cocky RSX-S owner. Now I had three people in my car (including myself) and he had two in his. It had a greddy exhaust and an intake from what I saw and heard. Well I was behind him an a light and he was revving away and looking the in rear view mirror. I wasn't gonna race but the light turned green and he punched it. I had about a second delay and went after him. The sick part it that I was already behind him and he got the jump on me but my car just pulled on his HARD. I shut it down at about 50 or 60 because I was 2 (yep 2) car lengths ahead of him after I passed him off the light. It only took up to 60 for me to smoke him. Me my car is just getting better everyday. (sorry for the long post I'm just happy)

I was at E-town yesterday too. ANd I must say that the 3 WRX's that were there ran very poor times. 14.9-15.8 were the average times I saw. And yes, there were quite a few ITR's w/bolt-on's that were running anywhere from mid 14's to high 13's. The fastest RSX-S I saw ran 15.0 @ 92 with I/E.
i was there too...but didnt get to see any of the bracket racing since my car was in the car show. I did see some of the pro eliminations, the fastest car I saw was the RWD Smelica that ran a 7.1@201 or something like that. I saw a 10sec all motor integra, but i doubt its the B18C5 motor, probably a H22 or 23. overall it was a good show, great weather, nice bikini contest, and i met up with hooptie and bullshitted about my Kumho's haha. peace!
hey I missed the bikini contest but I did catch the races. yeah I was talking to RTW about his tire vs my azenis. I have to say all the people I've from h-t have been some of the coolest people out there and RTW DC2 was no expection. Very cool guy witha nice ride. I see a tread starting with PY R's. Carbor fiber hood and smoked corner lenses, it look just sick. I only met one rude R owner and he ran the fastest time of the day (figures) but he never goes on h-t he said (in broken english).
