wow, plenty of spots for a double practice?

have things changed alot in the CSCC universe in terms of getting into a double practice?

i'll see if my friend wants to go...

 

Even though it's 10 min from my house, the $70 entry might be a bit much for an AutoX practice day. We'll see I might sign up if I get some time to work on the car this weekend.

It hasnt really changed that much, but it seems that since nationals is over the regulars dont wana play anymore. But yeh if your friends want to go send them out .

Yeh the entry is a little more than the usual. But our logic is that we've been doing this for a while and we have been known for running things smooth enough that everybody get tons of runs. Some ppl actually dont use all their runs b/c their "tired" so they go home. But the local autocrossers always compliment us on our events and were really hurting for money this year. So we think its fair.

But yeh if you can come out, please do so and support our team. We are all engineering students and we host these autocrosses to raise money so we can design/manufacture and race our car.

i would come too, just don't know what i'd drive

Damn. I would be there in a heartbeat if I weren't so jammed up next weekend. Practice events are the only auto-x events I'll even consider anymore. (Three runs a day at a normal event just don't cut it for a slow learner like me...) Add to that the opportunity to run at El Toro before all the Irvine candy-asses turn a perfectly good airport into a ******* PARK, and $70 seems like a no-brainer. Sorry I'll miss it.

Please, please, PLEASE post an announcement here on H-T if you ever do this again.

I'm kind of confused about the PM you sent me b/c its different than the message you posted above. But i PM'd you back replying to the PM.
And yes i'll post when we have events again. We have a couple more but it'll be after the new year. We have one in January, Febuary and one in August. The only thing is that they will be at California Speedway and there probably a practice/championship, instead of a double practice like this one.

If my car had been fixed in time I would definatley have come down. This is so close to my house it's rediculous. Damn you y8 oil pump!!!!! Well to all the guys that go out this weekend have fun, and be safe.

Since its getting so close to the event and some mailed checks may not make it; you can email cameron@kinst.com with your first/last name and which day you want to attend. Then come the day of w/ cash or check of the $70. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or post somthing.

It went pretty good. We had little problems w/ the timing but other than that everything went great. The course is really fast.
But yeh for the loaner helmet just go to the motorhome and ask one of the cal poly guys. See you tommorow, bright and early.

 

Had great time today. very well run event. Best time of the day was 95.5 haha not bad for winter tires on the stock si. Fun smoking Sti's all day.....

I went, and had a lot of fun.

My part of the track during my cone duties wasnt too bad.

However, the track was one big *** soalmn!!!

In the future, you guys should make the track have a little more flow IMO.

But thanks for putting on a great event. I got about 15 runs in.

O ok cool, thanks. Yeh, we are pretty limited to the course design at El Toro since its basicly two long lines of asphalt and we need to have mutliple cars on course. We normally host stuff at califonia speedway where we can do whatever we want b/c its... a giant parking lot. But yeh, thanks for coming and hope to see you soon.

Just a suggestion, dont say guranteed 16-18 runs. It makes people mad when they dont get what they promised....as you guys know.
