ight my question is about the set of butterflies that open and close inside of the manifold. will it be ok if i take them out because when i bought the head the guy had a clamp on them so they wiuld stay open so will this be ok will it run right?

i thought the b17 head used a single stage IM as it was also a PR3 casting?

I'm pretty sure that is a b18c GSR intake mani. i kept the secondary butterflies on my GSR mani and it runs great. i have heard that you lose low end power by keeping them open but i dont know never done it so i can tell you if its true or not.
