ok heres the deal guys. i have a wrecked 1997 accord dx. i was wondering if the motor and tranny from the 97 would swap into a 1989 or 1990 accord without too much trouble ? the rear end of the car is the only thing that got smashed up so basically everything else i have access to.

90 will work, 89 isn't a good idea

 

do you happen to know exactly what i would need to do the swap, anything extra money wise ... i know 1 is obd1 and 1 is ob2 ... any issues there ??? etc?

 

im not big on obd2 stuff but as far as i know you will have to get a conversion harness. they cost 75 bucks
