Fiberglass Fabrication
There's a website called http://www.fibreglast.com that has carbon fiber, carbon/kevlar hybrids (in 3 colors), and a black fiberglass twill weave that looks just like carbon but is a lot cheaper! They also sell resins, gel coats and spray equipment.
They have an online learning center where you can download free brochures about fiberglass fabrication and they also offer a free product catalog.
If your interested in custom fiberglass fabrication or just fiberglass repair for your Honda, I'd highly recommend checking this site out!

haha, but this webpage is just about common knowledge for the composite beginners. its easy to find their site. either way, i dont think it should be a ban. he is just stating what they can help folks that are interested in composites. he didnt say anything about pricing or anything.

Honestly, I really don't think there was anything wrong with the post since it's more informative than anything (at least that seemed like the initial intent). I would just prefer someone to be up front and say they work with or for the company. Either way, nice site.

That's cool then...if noone else has a problem why should I...let it roll.
Can't wait to see his upcoming posts over the next week or so
Sounds like the guy is really into helpin others out, not just frontin the business. Good deal
I'd love to see more writeups online about composites, wet layup, etc. Can't wait for a thread about it from this guy...sounds like there is alot of knowledge to offer.
On a side note, given this shortage and all, whats my 27 ft roll of 12kx12k twill weave carbon in my closet worth? Carbonall?

12x12 is a square foot. Just get 2 rulers and make a 7 which is not much unless doing small projects. Over in cali we get carbon fiber sheeting 12inch by 3ft for 14 and change. Does fiberguy have pricing in that site?

LOL, I think everyone knows what a square foot consists of but that isn't what we're talkiiing about here. 12k x 12k refers to the size or number of filaments in each bundle of fibers X 1000. If its 50" wide material you are probably looking at a real value of $35-$42 per linear yard X 9 yards if you have 27 feet of it. Buy it from Fiberglast and they want $69 per yard for non cert 2x2 twill carbon fabric. The good news is the price goes down to $54 per yard if you buy 10 yards

I'm starting to notice some movement as well after watching all this first hand over the last few years. As soon as these new carbon fiber manufacturing plants start to pop online in 2007-2008 I think there will be a glut of material and prices will fall. I hope the nightmare is coming to an end
JUST announced!!! Mitsuibishi composites will be adding more to there already in construction carbon tow manufacturing facility. in 2008 they will be producing 5 times more then they were in the past!
