ALL MOTOR BUILD clearances question..need help!!
heres my build
ls block
ls wiseco 12.1:1
bored .20
golden eagle block guards
eagle rods
92 sirII head
crower +.5mm valves
skunk2 ti rerainers
skunk2 dual valve springs
3angle valve job
now this motor ran with crower stage 2s perfectly fine no clearance issues. the head hasnt been milled, but only resurfaced once.
but now i want to run crower stage 3s or skunk2 stage2s and worried about clearance issues. i have ls pistons with the ls valve reliefs and with the oversized valves i was worried about clearance issues. and i know the thing i should do is clay the motor, but the motor is finally back in after a long time and i really cant afford time to pull it out again.
any one know is the skunk2 stage 2s will be alright, or even crower 3s?

its going to be a whole lot more expensive and take alot more time if you dont check things over.

haha i know .: however, in all honesty, I know people who run these cams with setups simillar to yours with nothing but good things to say about clearance and performance.
There are a few other people interested in the cams so lmk what you decide !

you're taking a foolish approach to this. remember that the people who think it will be okay dont have anything to lose if their information is wrong. they arent doing you any favors by saying youll be fine.
do you have a valvespring compressor that bolts to the top of the head? you can use a soft spring and a 10$ dial indicator to figure it out for sure.

i personally use a 6# .047" music wire spring so that my thumb doesnt wear out when depressing the rockers.
