steering loose?
got a question about steering, my buddy has an 89 hf, and the steering wheel feels really really loose, what can i do tighten it, it is really loose feeling, like wobly. thanks
Its a long road, but here are the things you need to do, in order:
1) replace your tie rods (I use Camelot, but Moog is also a good brand) ~$50+
2) replace the front radius arm bushings with new ones from Energy Suspension ~$10+
3) get an alignment, set all the toe to zero ~$40+
Those things should get the CRX into a safe, driveable state without breaking the bank.
However there are at least four more bushings on each corner that really should be replaced on the car if they are still the original ones...and that will cost some more, but it will make the suspension competition quality.
Good luck!
