Proper way to detail?
Should I clay bar, then use glaze, then wax? Would the combination of clay bar and glaze on my 94 be too rough since the clear coat is starting to leave the hood? The car is white by the way. Any other suggestions would be great.

What are your opinions on Armor All and other protectants on the dash? I heard that they actually can damage the dash, while other sources say they don't and work great. What do you guys suggest?
first go over the whole car with soapy water and clay. Then machine polish it. Then hand glaze it with swirl free polish.
That is true, armor all has a lot of silicone which prematurely ages the dash, especially if you live someplace with a lot of sun. I switched to Turtle wax formula 2001. It has a small amount of silicone but relies on a urethane base to give your dash it's shine. Soap and water is 100% safe but it doesn't leave that nice shiny look.
