Need help as far as info on my D16Z6. Easy question...
Hey guys, I picked up a 91 DX hatch with a D16Z6 swap already done to it not too long ago. I am not too well versed in Honda info, so I need some help. I need to change oil in in but need to know what filter & how much oil it takes. What kind of car did it come out of? I heard somewhere that they are in the Del Sols, but like I said, I don't know a lot about Hondas, I am a Camaro guy. Let me know, thanks.

how much? geez, i dont know i usually fill until the dipstick reads good, add a little more for a new oil filter, but get one of those 4.4L jugs, you will have a little left for topping off

Filters:
Fram 3593a
Supertech 3593a
Purolator 14459
Napa/WIX 1334/51334
Personally I'd go with a Napa Gold or WIX filter (same thing different labeling) they have a silicone ADBV (anti-drain back valve), metal end caps, synthetic filtering media, and a thread mounted bypass valve. They are a bit pricy instore, but you can get em bulk online for about $4.22 each.
My D16Z6 takes about 3.5 qt to 4...depends. I use Mobil 1 full synthetic oil with great results; viscosity will depend on your driving styles and car environments. I've also used Mobil Clean 5000/7500 with great results, and for a inexpensive but great oil you can't beat Chevron Supreme for less than a $1/qt at kragen. The chevron produced good used oil analysis on many of the cars i've used it on.
