Default b20 b18 b16 help. please

okay so i just got a b20a block a full block head and tranny from a b20a1 89 prelude and I could get more stuff also like b18 and b16. my question is what b20 block should I use for a b20 block and a b18 head and which head should I try to find. please start by the best to the crappiest. also what stuff do I need for a b18 block and a b16 head for that combo which ones and also what trannys will work and do great. thank you. also the b20 block with b18 head will go into a 88 crx dx and the b18 block with a b16 head will go into a 93 4 door civic.

It's called LS-Vtec.
Using LS or B20 non v-tec and mate it with a V-tec head...

1. Type R head
2. B16 head
3. Gsr head

B20 and LS B18a/b is about the same. I heard B20 has weak sleeves then B18..

They all could fit in any honda with mounts and little mods.

Let me be the first to say that you REALLY don't want to have anything to do with a B20A. They are poorly designed and share very very little with the later B-series engines (B16A, B16B, B17A, B18A, B18B, B18C, B20B, B20Z). There is very little information available and almost no aftermarket support for the B20A. I hope you didn't pay anything over its value as scrap metal.

If you insist on having a B20, pick up a B20B or a B20Z from a CR-V.

Dude, are you sure you know what you are even doing or want to do?

for an ls vtec head use:

B16 or GSR or ITR, that is: B18c1 and B18c5

or just a B16A.....screw the b20 heads. The only thing you want from a b20 is the block, and thats not an ls. The ls is the B18 from the early 90's teg, the vtec is the aforementioned heads.....and yeah, the prelude engine is **** for power or any kind of aftermarket other than for prelude fans.
