Polished lip on RSZ-R......ok to use aluminum polish or is it cleared?
I want to clean up a set of Work RSZ-R and am wondering if the lips on them are cleared or if its ok to use mothers aluminum polish to clean them up?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I assume that you can, but keep in mind, the lip of the RSZ-R's are not bare, as in there is a thin coating on there, similar to clear coat. With enough polish you can strip away that coating and it will make the lip shine when you polish it with a polishing cloth. Stripping away that coating could either be a good or bad thing for you. hope this helps.

Damn he called me out on a typing error, time to get out of the game
I have always wondered what it is about H-T that makes people ruin legitimate topics?

unless it is a "machined" lip or a bare aluminum lip which most ( 99% ) of manufactured wheels aren't, using an aluminum polish will do absolutely nothing to clean the surface of the lip.
you best bet is to remove the clear coat with either sanding or aircraft stipper and then repolish the lip. i had to do this to my mugens.

Ok cool, thanks!
they are not too bad just some light scratches so I really dont want to disturb the clear coat. I think I will try to shine them up with some mothers cleaner wax
