Cleaning your Underwear
I'd say cold water with woolite would be ok along with laying flat to dry. I'm sure they say dry clean only because some detergents can leave a residue that reduces the effectiveness of the nomex to be fire retardant.

What is that?
I would say that it's safe to wash it in the machine on delicate with some woolite! That is how I was my nomex stuff!
