short vid of me and a bud riding
went to ride with a buddy a couple weekends ago and had a blast even though it was freezing cold and I sprung a coolant leak

Looks like the Superhawk is happy to be out and about.
Two things:
1) Try to stay away from the yellow line (yes, your tires never crossed, but your body does). You never know when an idiot coming the other way drifts wide.
2) Friends don't let friends ride Kawasuckis.

Herb, how did you know the camera guy was on a Kwak? Gauge cluster reflection?

That (the gauge cluster is pretty ugly), and he's (ex-Superhawk owner) on another forum I frequent.

Looks fun, you boys becareful... your lines are a little wacky, but have fun and a resonible pace... Looks like those roads are good for about 120-130 easy, not a good thing with houses and cross traffic
only traffic coming in was at that very end. They have a stop sign. Yeah I slowed down even more with the houses around. I actually thought the pickup truck was backing up when I turned the corner.
Yeah I know my lines probably aren't very good. Only the 2nd time I've been on that road (so 2 runs in each direction basically). I was early braking to not push the limit of the turns as well. better safe then sorry ya know. The shadows don't bother me at all either... I have a dark smoke screen so the transition is never very bad for me. Not sure what speed that was at all but it was a brisk little ride. Fun, though I have work to do to get her on the road again once I get home.
Thanks for the tip about the yellow line marm. I know on more then one occasion coming around a left hander my head has been near the yellow and a car has come around pushing me wide all of the sudden. When I can see through the turn no problem but blind turns yeah
And as you noticed, no line crossing too
Camera is just a sony handheld non digital. he uses the outputs and a capture card on his comp to get the vid. Uses a suction cup mount though one of his suction cups was bad so we took it off soon after that run.

Yeah, that's some scary stuff when a car or truck comes rolling around a bend over the line. I swear, one time, I had to check the top of my helmet for paint transfer from the idiot truck going the other way.

yup I've had that happen. that's why people who cross the line on blind turns baffle me. They really do have a death wish...

I've got one of those on vhs tape in all actuality... you can clearly hear the sound of the truck/campers rear view extended mirror on my friends helmet.... at top speed on 9 mile no less

Phwoar....you can get up to some crazy speeds on 9 Mile. I like to puttputt there.
On a side note, regarding 9 Mile, I hear Stout is coming back. Stout, the same guy who took out the jeep and broke his bike in half.

Nope. Not street-legal.
My friend has an SXV, and he says that thing is a blast in the canyons. But, you need to bring spare gas, as it only has a 50mile range.

cross traffic & riding in shadows.... On the other hand scenery is good.
