Default Any known issues with 2003 Accord EX 4cyl 5MT

I found an 03 Accord EX 4cyl 5MT 4dr and am going to look at it this evening. I don't know anything about this generation and did the search to try to find more information. One thing that i did not see is the brakes. Are the rotors like the 98-2002 where the rotors are easy to remove? Any known issues with this model? I understand the 2003 is the first year for this model and in most cases, first year models usually have problems so I thought I find out more before I make my decision.

Thanks.

only issue i know of is its a royal pain to get a new head unit installed because everything is integrated into the center console and there aren't any DIN slots

Not necessarily, you can install a new headunit, but you won't be losing your stock one, which is a royal pain in the *** to get out. I installed an alpine headunit in the bottom compartment here on my cardomain, http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2230869.

One problem I and a lot of other 7th gen owners have had is a lot of brake dust accumulating in the front drums. If you wash your car weekly and take the time to wash out your front wheels profusely, then it gets rid of it some. The EX on the other hand has rear rotors as I don't on my LX. All the rest of the problems are not serious, just things related to creature comfort, but most people are happy with their cars.

Found out that the 03 accord EX has an accident history after pulling the car fax report. The girl who was selling the car told me that the vehicle is clean, no accidents at all. and she's asking about $1200 more than blue book. So i'm no longer considering this vehicle.

Care to elaborate for me? I'm looking into the 7th Gens right now and would like to know everything that goes wrong with them.

I appreciate it.
