I dont know how to drive a 5spd yet because I've been driving AT ever since I started driving. Just wondering, how easy is it to actually get the BRAND NEW parts before doing a 5spd swap? The ones I found are all used w/ a high amount of mileage for them and I dont really trust em for some odd reason. How much total would it cost me to get all the new 5spd swap parts needed in total? Do Honda dealerships sell Accord 5spd swap parts?

1) If you've never driven a 5 speed why are you going to go to all the trouble to convert your accord?
2) If you want brand new parts it'll be a **** ton cheaper to sell your car and buy a manual

brand new parts probably at least 2000 from honda on let's say you have a CD5 with avg miles worth about 3-4k, why not sell yours for 3-4k then buy another one that IS manual for 3-4 k and save 2000?

 

id try to learn on a used friends car or something for a manual until you learn it.. i twould be pointless to buy BRAND NEW parts and do all tha twork to swap it then expletive it up b.c you dont know how to do drive a manual. So learn it on a crappy car or something first then when your comfrotable do it on brand new parts.. lol

 

sell your car and get a manual one.......it will be far less hassle...and a whole lot cheaper.........

 

well i converted mine to manuel and ooo boy. haha. first u need the cables, then all 3 new peddals, the hard lines, the fluid reserve, and u also need the shifting assebly, lol and u need to rewire things from your ecu. but also on your firewall where u mount the clutch pedle its a little difficult since the firewall is thiner and will tear since its an auto and the factory doesnt reinforce it. hehe.
