Default AEM EMS, how does traction control and auto mapping stand up?

So I just found out that the AEM EMS has a traction control feature. I don't race in any sanctioned classes, and would love to have traction control for my turbo drag crx. Anybody use it? Does it work, or is it a gimicky shot at something that could have been cool?

What about the auto-mapping? My hondata s300 sucks at doing this, and I was wondering if maybe the AEM EMS does it well perhaps?

Thanks guys.

When setup by someone who knows what they are doing (insert plug for Brad Brooks here), it works VERY well.

More of a street feature than a track feature, but's nice to go from ridiculous tire spin, to basically none at all with a flick of a switch.

automapping is garbage... any decent tuner can tune a car much faster than any automapping can.

traction control works really good, but like the previous poster said, its not really something that you'd use on the track, it measures the rate of acceleration of the engine and pulls/cuts timing to slow that acceleration down, it dosnt actually use the wheel speed to control the traction. it dosnt actually know when the tires are spinning.

Alright. Probably a better tool than the traction control would be my gear dependent boost controller huh?

or how about vehicle speed based boost control that is programmable within the AEM. JDogg can tell you all about it
