So I've been reading recently that these retainers tend to thin out in very little time. Roughly 10 to 12,000 miles. Is this true?? if so this really sucks. What other options (feasable) are available?? This is for a street driven vehicle so I'll hit 10,00 miles in no time. I already have the Ferrea valves and I'm going with the matching valve train but it cost an arm and a leg,It would be terrible if it only lasted a year or so...

I have no problems using stock retainers but If I'm going to use ferrea valve springs is it wise to use stock retainers.???
