Default Speed World Challenge - Laguna Oct. 21/22 - 2006

Last weekend i went down to Laguna to watch the last Speed WC race of the year. Andrie Hartanto, Kenny Yim and J. Meris were all going to compete so it was a definet must to go watch and give some Redstone Motors good luck to our guys. too bad it didnt work out for Andrie.

I met John Thawley there and talked with him for a few min, very cool guy. Nice meeting you John.

I wont say who won, as the race hasnt been aired on tv yet and i dont want to ruin it for you. Here are some of the pics i took.

Bad luck struck andrie again.. as he blew two motors on friday during practice. He did not qualify or race!

Good Racing, Good Weather...Laguna Seca...is there more to life?

I must say the Civic in the Toyo booth/tent was beautiful, I can't wait to see it in action!

Great Pics!!!
Thanks for taking a couple of our crew! We finished 18th and made it through the weekend with the same engine we started with and not an extra dent on the car. Those Realtime cars and Tripoint cars are CRAZY fast!!!
That was really unfortunate for Andrie-Thanks to him for letting us work under his canopy-we make a good team together.

For this race, I ran the B20 with Wiseco 11.5-pistons, RLZ head & skunk valvetrain. I needed more displacement (especially going up towards the corkscrew-where the competitors with 2.3L Mazdas, 2.4L Acuras, and 2.5L BMW's gained time on me) and alot higher compression...of course running the 4.785 final didn't help either...I also needed the 4.9 final.

not enough $$$$

It will debut in couple of weeks at NASA NorCal.
And it will probably win the 25 hrs this year, cause we have such a strong line up of drivers and a very good team!

World Challenge was kinda suck for my team. I didn't even yell and really calm when the second engine gone. Sort of kind loose all hope kind of deal as I know we're done for the weekend.

We are ready to move forward. And hopefully will fare better from now on.

Several nice looking cars there. Sorry to hear about the bad luck Andrie. Did I read it wrong or do you have a new race car? Any pictures of the civic under the Toyo tent?

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply it was my race car.

The car is PDQ Motorsports. I will be one of the driver for 25 hours along with big names like Roger Foo and Tom Lepper.

The PDQ civic was on the island over by the caddy tent. I saw it, but didn't realize who's it was. Very good looking car!

If you would like the full sized files please let me know and i'll see if i can email them out to you. Photobucket reduces the size of the pics. Good thing I didn't shoot raw with my nikon D50; y'all would be dieing of the pic sizes.

Looks to me like the stock TSX intake manifold.
