Default auto - manual (searched)

OK i saw a great write up on this for a civic here on HT. I'm plannin on doin an auto to manual swap. I have a 5 spd 'lude and will have an auto 'lude at the same time. I'll follow the civic one as best i can but I was just curious if any of you 'lude people have any first hand experience with this. i'll be swapping a motor and tranny together. I've done the swap by myself twice before but from manual to manual. Any tips and advice would be great. thanx guys.

The swap is pretty straight forward the only thing is to take your time rewiring your interlock system and cruise control.

It's not that difficult if you know what you are doing, search archived for the official prelude auto to manual thread .

The interlock system is what keeps the car from starting in any gear other than neutral or park. Now the manual car has two switches on the clutch pedal, one for the cruise control cutout switch and one for the clutch lockout. Now this keeps the car from starting until the clutch is depressed. You need to wire these two circuits together so that when you step on the clutch you can start the car, and so you can get the key out of the ignition. First thing you need to do is buy a helms manual and poor over the two circuits until you think of a clever way to make it work. The cruise control is pretty simple just dont forget to change out the CC boxes from auto to manual (this is located under the drivers kick panel).
