Were the Honda/Acura Type R vehicals ever originally offered for sale in the United States at a dealer? I am trying to settle a debate between two of my friends, one says no, and claims the other one just put a sticker on it. Thanks in advance.

Are you basicly asking wether the Type-R's in the states are real or fake? Yes, Integra Type-R's, and ONLY INTEGRA Type-R's were shipped over and sold in the states from Acura dealers. Only in model years 97,98,00,01. Does that help?

Of course they were sold at dealerships but, in very limited number per dealer.

I waited almost 2 months for mine to be built. One of the last 2000's (I think).

 

Also it depends on what it is you're talking about. Only the Integra Type-R has shipped to northamerica to my knowledge.

All the "civic type-r" "accord type-r" "etc, etc, etc type-r" are fakes.

 

i couldnt even make it to the list since the were all sold
