OEM. $92 USD for the friction disc, $124 USD for the pressure plate, $47 USD for the release bearing, and $18 for the pilot bearing. $281 USD total for a new clutch kit.

An Exedy "Stage 2" cerametallic clutch kit is overkill for a stock D16A6 and will create additional unnecessary stress on the drivetrain and engine mounts. For your needs, there is no point in having something that aggressive. Not to mention the kit costs over $450 USD . . .

If you insist on going with a more aggressive aftermarket clutch, an Exedy "Stage 1" organic clutch will be more than sufficient. Price should be around $295 US for the kit.

So I ended up getting the Exedy Stage 2 Cerametallic Clutch Kit.
Took the car for a rip and the clutch feels amazing ! It's alot heavier/stiffer than stock, and there is no more slippage ! everything feels precise !! The car actually feels alot faster now, no more 1st-2nd gear waiting....LoL
Its a bit heavy for normal stop and go traffic , but my left leg will be getting a workout now, which is not bad. LoL

All in all

dont blame the slippage on an oem clutch, blame it on a worn out clutch

Because it's Rob. When he posts a thread, he already knows what he is going to do, so it's not really asking for advice . . . it's more like a "hey, look at me!" thing.

Wow... a stage 2 clutch on a stock engine is completely pointless... And about the other option of the stage 1 like it was said, I don't know if you know but that would be pointless also seeing as OEM honda clutches are already made by Exedy anyways, just spending extra money for the name...

The Exedy "Racing Clutch" Stage 1 organic kit is more aggressive and not the same as the OEM clutch. The Honda clutch is a regular Exedy/Daikin OE clutch, not an Exedy Racing Clutch Stage whatever.

The "abuse" that it can take is heat - heat that you'll never generate by cruising around town with a stock D16A6. Heat that is generated by a high RPM, high torque drag launch on slicks by slipping and riding the clutch halfway down the drag strip, or by holding the vehicle stationary on a hill with the clutch. Clutch friction material works on the same principles as brake friction material. The ceramic-metallic clutch is not going to last longer - in fact, it will not last as long as an OE clutch.

It also puts more stress on the rest of the drivetrain. Have fun with prematurely worn input shaft bearings and broken engine mounts.

How does the clutch affect the motor mounts ??

I like it. Thats all that counts. I hate the feel of stock clutches. too damn light.

It feels heavy like my old BMW M3 clutch did.
