I'm planning on repainting my badly chipped and faded wipers. I was wondering if anyone has any advice. I'm thinking of possibly removing the arms, sanding down the rest of the old paint, and then applying two coats of preferably semi-gloss black paint, but I already have a can of flat black paint on the shelf.

You think flat black will look okay for the wipers?

 

i did it, and it worked fine. its been almost a year and theres still no fading or anything.

But i sanded, primed and then 2 coats of paint

 

i sanded, primed, and 2 coats of semi gloss. use semi gloss. flat = not phat.

 

i just sprayed trim paint on them. no sanding, just cleaned it then painted. trim paint is used to restore old bumper trims. they are usually flat black (matte finish - not shiny). it's holding up great!
