Axle popping out passenger side....LSD? Axle? Motor Mount?
I have a 1992 Civic Hatchback..i just put a new motor in there and everytime i make a right turn there is a loud clunk and the car hops...sounds like its coming from the right axle...my setup is
Ls Block - Gsr Tranny....as far as my motor mounts my driver side one is a Innovative..my tranny one is a place racing...and the rear one is the haasport one...i also have a Obx LSD in my tranny.... the axle i was using was an oem axle...i changed that out to a autozone reman axle...and it gave me the same problem....the last time i drove it...i made a quick right...and the axle clunked but sounded a little worst this time...and wen i was driving on the straight road after that. the car drove as if it was hopping..i got home..i put a flathead screwdriver between the axle and gently pushed back...the axle came out about 4 inches...
any ideas?

Hmmm...i had a problem with the pasenger side axle popping out of my swap once...your sure it is seated all the way in and the snap ring is in place? Other than that after my axle popped out i put it back in only to experince a bad vibration which turned out to be a bad axle...during my search for vibration under acceleration i did come to find that autozone axles have many problems and you may want to keep returning them until you find one that does not have the same problem...also during my search the general concensus was that axles dont just pop out unless they arent installed correctly (however i had my swap in for over a month before my axle popped out so i didnt agree with that). Any how i would return the axle and try another one. Good Luck!
